"A day after the NFL's trade deadline passed, Broncos wide receiver Eddie Royal? reaffirmed his desire to be with the team.

Royal was one of the players the Broncos had made available recently. The Broncos traded Brandon Lloyd on Monday morning to the Rams.

"I'm happy to be here," Royal said Wednesday. "I love playing for the Broncos. I love the fans. I love the organization."

Royal repeatedly emphasized he did not personally request a trade but acknowledged "a lot of business parts of this game."

Royal expects to play this Sunday at Miami. He has missed the past three games with a groin injury. He has four catches this season."
