Ohio State's LaQuinton Ross made it official Friday as the school issued a release saying Ross will give up his final year of eligibility to pursue a professional career.

Ross was Ohio State's leading scorer last season and his emergence played a key role in the Buckeyes getting to the Elite Eight last season.

"My experience at Ohio State has been incredible," Ross said in a statement. "Coach (Thad) Matta, my teammates and the staff were amazing to work with on a daily basis. My goal has always been to play at the next level and I believe now is the best time."
