Derrick Rose has a torn medial meniscus in his right knee, and he'll be out indefinitely after having surgery.

This isn't the same knee which cost Rose the entire 2012-13 season, and the good news is that there's been no mention of his ACL or MCL, two ligaments frequently associated with medial meniscus injuries. The size and location of the tear will likely determine whether Rose will have it repaired or removed, and we should have a better idea of his recovery timetable after the surgery.
