"Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington on Wednesday praised the Los Angeles Angels , an American League West rival, for last week's big-ticket additions of powerful first baseman Albert Pujols and lefthander C.J. Wilson, the Rangers' leading winner over the last two seasons.
``You've got to commend the Angels for what they did,'' Washington said. ``They did what they had to do to bolster their offense. ... They did a good job of picking up C.J. Wilson for their rotation, which is pretty good. The game is played between the lines, and we'll be ready to play when that time comes.''"
