Romo says he'll play

"The Cowboys listed quarterback Tony Romo as limited in Wednesday's practice because of his bruised right hand, but he told the New York media in a conference call he expects to play Sunday.

"I was able to do some things with the ball we weren't sure about, so it was a good start to the week," Romo said. "We are going to keep working on it and get all the treatment. We should be good to go for this weekend."

Romo said he wore a glove at practice to help reduce the swelling produced when he slammed his hand into the helmet of an Eagles player last week, but he doesn't expect to wear it in the game.

"It seemed like he was able to throw the ball OK, but he still needs to make some progress with that thing," coach Jason Garrett said. "The hand is still swollen."

Tight end Jason Witten painted a much rosier picture.

"I thought he was throwing the ball well," Witten said. "I couldn't tell any difference. From the receiving end of it, he was as good as he always is. I would be hard-pressed to see him not playing. Anyone who knows what he is about knows he's going to play.""
