"Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins tweeted on Monday that he will go on the disabled list with a strained right groin.

"Soooooo this is what we got...mild grade 2 strain. DL," Rollins tweeted. He added later, "Gone till September........."

Rollins left Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Washington Nationals in the third inning seemingly after straining his groin fielding a bouncing ball behind second base before pirouetting and throwing out Nationals catcher Jesus Flores at first base. He underwent an MRI Monday morning."
