LIVERPOOL are ready to lead the late transfer frenzy from English clubs after lining up a quartet of players including a £25million double deal for defenders Mamadou Sakho and Tiago Ilori.

Brendan Rodgers is also seeking to tie up interest in Chelsea’s Victor Moses and Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday.

The Reds were yesterday trying to arrange medicals for Sakho 23 who will cost about £18m from Paris Saint-Germain and Ilori 20 whom Liverpool expect to sign for £7m from Sporting Lisbon.
