The Rockies' dream of returning to a World Series in their 20th season hinges on a better roster and improved health from its top players.

Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and outfielder Carlos Gonzalez told The Denver Post on Monday that injuries that sidelined them in September are healing as scheduled.

Tulowitzki had just 35 at-bats in the final month and started just two times after Sept. 13 because of bursitis in his left hip.

"It got better from rest. I have started doing light workouts," Tulowitzki said.
