Exercising caution with an injury that has lingered for several weeks, Troy Tulowitzki is not in the starting lineup because of a sore left groin.

Tulowitzki aggravated the injury running to first base in Tuesday's loss, the Rockies' fifth straight.

"It stinks not to be in there with the ways things are going. But they want to give me two straight days to let it calm down," Tulowitzki said. "They want to be smart about it."

Manager Jim Tracy said that Tulo's injury first surfaced in spring training, so the team is taking a careful to manage it. Tulowitzki has hit safely in 15 of the last 17 games, grinding out at-bats while trying to find his swing.
