Troy Tulowitzki will not be joining the Rockies until their next homestand at the earliest. His scheduled return has been mapped out with more minor-league at-bats.
After going 0-for-3 as the designated hitter on Monday for Triple-A Colorado Springs, he will play shortstop Wednesday (five innings) and Thursday (seven innings) and be available to pinch hit Friday for Double-A Tulsa in its playoff series.
Tulowitzki, who would like to play for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic in March if healthy, remains driven to return this season, but not if he can't play at 100 percent. Making backhand stabs in the field and running the bases remain the final hurdles to clear.
