"Rockies general manager Dan O'Dowd's search for a left-handed bat in the season's final month drove him to pursue Jason Giambi, who is in the final stages of completing a Minor League deal with the Rockies."We've been looking for a left-handed bat to call up when rosters expand," O'Dowd said Sunday.
