"The NBA All-Star Game is coming to Houston next year.

Unfortunately for the Rockets, their participation in the league's premier showcase probably will be somewhat akin to hosting a swanky party at your house and being relegated to handling the valet parking.

That is the Rockets' (parking) lot in the NBA landscape these days.

They almost certainly won't have a player in this year's All-Star Game (in Orlando, Fla., on Feb. 26). And unless a major trade happens, they probably won't have one in next year's game either.
