Robert Lewandowski has rejected a new deal at Bayern Munich - and opened talks with Real Madrid.

That is according to Sky Germany, who say the Polish striker is in discussions with Los Blancos, which will come as a blow to Chelsea who had reportedly been keen on taking the former Borussia Dortmund man to Stamford Bridge.

Lewandowski's arrival would throw the future of Karim Benzema into doubt, with the Frenchman being linked with a move away from the Bernabeu in the summer.

Jose Angel Sanchez, Real's general director, is apparently tasked with luring Lewandowski to the Spanish capital.
