The Cubs are seeking their season-high fifth consecutive victory Tuesday night at Minute Maid Park, with Justin Germano taking the mound against the Astros.

The last time the Cubs won five straight was during a seven-game streak from July 31-Aug. 6 2011.

The game became secondary to the health of first baseman Anthony Rizzo, however, after he collided with Astros first baseman Brett Wallace and flipped over in the air, hitting his head on the ground.

Rizzo had hit a chopper to second, but Astros second baseman Jimmy Paredes airmailed the throw to first, forcing Wallace to jump and get in the path of the oncoming Rizzo. Wallace, who is 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, swung his leg into Rizzo, who went flying and landed hard. Rizzo laid on the ground for a couple of minutes without moving as the training staff tended to him.
