"Philip Rivers' left ring finger was wrapped in tape Thursday, the result of him jamming his finger on the fateful fumbled snap Monday night in Kansas City.
"If you wrote about every jammed finger in the locker room …" Rivers said.
But he's the quarterback. He uses both hands on every snap.
"It isn't an issue," Rivers said, balling his hand for effect. Indeed, the hand did not seem to be an issue during the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media.
Replays of the play show center Nick Hardwick's snap going directly into the finger on Rivers' non-throwing hand. Rivers is never seen reacting to the injury and said he didn't even notice the pain until after the game."
