Alex Rios single-handedly carried the the Chicago White Sox's offense Wednesday.

Rios hit a grand slam in the first inning and added a two-run home run off P.J. Walters in the sixth to give the Sox a 6-1 victory over Minnesota and extend their lead in the American League Central to 1 1/2 games over Detroit, pending the outcome of the Tigers' game against Cleveland.

Rios hit a hanging curve in the first that sailed over the left field fence and traveled an estimated 410 feet. The grand slam was the second of Rios' career. The six RBIs are a career high for Rios.
