"Jaguars right tackle Eben Britton is still planning on returning to the starting lineup for the season opener Sept. 11 against the Tennessee Titans.

Britton had a back procedure last week to repair a herniated disk.

He said Tuesday he won't be able to start doing anything physical, including riding the stationary bike, until his stitches come out Friday.

"One of the good things the doctor said when looking at the MRI was that my spine was one of the best he's seen, in the best shape he's seen in any NFL player," Britton said. "So that was good news.
