"The Marlins discussed a three-team trade proposal that, according to sources, involved Ricky Nolasco and Leo Nunez. But talks died without any deal being made.
FoxSports.com reported that the Marlins spoke to the Kansas City Royals about pitcher Zack Greinke, though not necessarily as part of the same, three-team deal.
But when asked about the Greinke rumor during his weekly radio engagement on WAXY 790, Marlins president David Samson replied, ``First I've heard of it.''
``We had something come our way that was multiplayer. I just don't see it happening,'' said Larry Beinfest, Marlins president of baseball operations. ``On the surface it was interesting and we wanted to pursue it.''
Beinfest did not reveal names of players or the other two teams.
The Palm Beach Post reported that the other teams involved were the Texas Rangers and Colorado Rockies."
