"With seven strong innings in the Marlins' 3-2 victory over Arizona on Friday night, Ricky Nolasco tied All-Star teammate Josh Johnson for the team lead with nine victories.
With the win, Nolasco knows he increased his trade value, if the Marlins decide to make moves in advance of the July 31 non-waiver trading deadline.
"We have a really good clubhouse here. I feel the same way as a lot of other guys: We don't want to get broken up,' he said.
"Obviously, I don't want to, either. I've liked the organization since I've been here. This team can win ballgames if we stay together.'
The Marlins entered Saturday at 41-45, trailing Atlanta by 10 games in the NL East.
Manager Edwin Rodriguez said players are aware that the organization could decide during the All-Star break, which starts Monday, whether the team has a realistic chance at the playoffs.
"When we lost that series in Atlanta and we were heading to L.A. (Sunday night), they were talking about it. They were talking about we have to take two out of three in L.A., we have to come to Arizona and take at least three out of four,' he said."
