Ricky Jean Francois has become the sixth player to leave the NFC-champion 49ers, agreeing Thursday to a four-year, $22 million contract with the Indianapolis Colts, according to multiple reports.
Jean Francois blossomed into a versatile lineman in four seasons since getting drafted in the seventh round out of LSU. He started three games last season, including the final two of the regular season in place of an injured Justin Smith.
Jean Francois flew to Indianapolis on Wednesday night after visiting the Philadelphia Eagles, who signed former 49ers nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga to a three-year, $12 million deal. Jean Francois' deal with the Colts was initially reported by the Baltimore Sun.

To compensate for the loss of Sopoaga and Jean Francois, the 49ers signed former Chiefs defensive lineman Glenn Dorsey on Wednesday to a two-year deal reportedly worth up to $7 million.
Others to leave the 49ers since their Super Bowl XLVII loss are quarterback Alex Smith (traded to the Kansas City), kicker David Akers (released), safety Dashon Goldson (signed with Tampa Bay) and tight end Delanie Walker (signed with Tennessee).
