The hamstring bug bit the Milwaukee Brewers yet again on Wednesday night.

Second baseman Rickie Weeks suffered a strained left hamstring when trying to beat out a ground ball in the eighth inning of the Brewers' 6-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park an injury that forced him from the game.

Afterward Weeks' left leg was heavily wrapped in the clubhouse and manager Ron Roenicke indicated that the team might make a player move in response despite Weeks being listed as day to day.

"It's a possibility" he said. "We'll see tomorrow. They'll call and talk to Dr. Raasch."

Replays appeared to show Weeks tripping over his own bat as he headed down the first-base line. He made it a few more steps before falling face-first onto the ground and then grabbing the back of his leg.

Weeks himself said he wasn't quite sure how the injury occurred.

"Some people say I was trying to dodge the bat maybe" he said.

"I felt like a little pop or something like that. We think it's a pulled hamstring so we're going to run some more tests tomorrow and see what happens."
