"Word out of Frisco this afternoon is that Mike Ribeiro still is not ready to test his sore knee and will miss his third game in a row.
``Ribs is still sore,'' Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said. ``He'll be another few more days. You can expect him before somebody else, that's the way Ribby is, but he's had a significant injury, so he'll be a few more days.''
Gulutzan said that he was waiting on Kari Lehtonen to give him the thumb's up on a sore tailbone, but that he expected him to be ready to start Saturday against Colorado. ``If he's fine and healthy, he'll most likely get the start.''
Because the Stars landed at 5 a.m. after traveling back from Los Angeles, the players only had to show up at some point between noon and 3 p.m. Friday. That made for a scattered day. And with no morning skate before Saturday's 2 p.m. game against the Avalanche, it should be a challenging preparation."
