"The hit Michael Vick took on the Eagles' second play against Arizona did more than knock the wind out him.

But that's the company line he gave to coach Andy Reid and the medical staff on the sideline Sunday, and he was apparently much better at disguising the truth than disguising where his passes were headed.

Vick, who passed for only 128 yards and threw two interceptions, suffered two broken ribs on the 13-yard connection with tight end Brent Celek on the Eagles' first possession of their 21-17 loss to Arizona.

Cardinals linebacker Daryl Washington came from around the left edge and drilled Vick just after the pass, breaking two of Vick's lower ribs and impacting the Pro Bowl quarterback's ability to make plays."
