"Kerry Rhodes played well enough in Sunday's win over the Panthers to earn himself more playing time -- getting his first two interceptions of the season. He did not, however, play well enough to regain his starting job.
The Jets safety, who had his 74-game starting streak snapped Sunday when he was demoted by coach Rex Ryan to playing in only the dime sub package, also will be used in nickel against the Bills on Thursday.
"Kerry's going to start in more packages," Ryan said. "He's going to play a ton. I probably will start Eric in the base package. He'll definitely be in some nickel packages. I think he'll be in other packages as well.
"He played well; that's what we were expecting from him. "He's always been a playmaker in his career. It's just a matter of time. I was proud of the way he played.""
