" Jets coach Rex Ryan is still interested in bringing in former Baltimore Ravens receiver Derrick Mason - but he thinks the veteran has received higher offers from other teams.

"I'd obviously like to get Derrick right now, but he's got other teams, he's got other things like that," Ryan said. "I'm sure he'd have to leave money on the table to come here."

The Carroll County Times in Maryland reported that Mason is deciding between the Jets, Titans or a return to Baltimore.

The Jets need another receiver after Thursday's release of Jerricho Cotchery . Ryan reiterated that the team's plan wasn't to bring in Mason so they could let Cotchery go.

The coach said the Jets didn't have a replacement for Cotchery in place when they granted his request to be released or traded after seven seasons with the team. "
