"Wednesday's injury news certainly favored the Dolphins. Whereas Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis has been pulled out of Sunday's game because of a hamstring injury, Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder practiced for the first time in almost a month.
An hour after practicing in a limited role, Crowder jogged to his locker, then back across the locker room toward the shower exit, refusing interview requests by declaring he had only 15 minutes to shower.
``It was really good to see Channing back to practice [Wednesday],'' Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said. ``The stretch lines were a little quiet for a while, and that changed today. It's good to see him running around out there and get a chance to be involved. I think really good for Channing too, so we'll see where we go. There was progress made [Wednesday].''
Dolphins safety Yeremiah Bell said, ``He's a smart player. Just some of the things he sees when he comes to the sidelines to alert guys or the way we run blitzes or things like that, he's very valuable.''
Sparano said starting rookie right guard John Jerry missed practice because he was sick. Defensive end Jared Odrick, who has a fractured fibula, was on the exercise bike before practice."
