"The Diamondbacks have yet to announce it, but according to various reports, the club has signed free-agent relief pitcher Takashi Saito to a one-year deal.

General Manager Kevin Towers is out of the country and wasn't immediately available for comment.

Saito, a right-hander, appeared in 30 games last season for the National League Central champion Brewers. He had a 2.03 ERA in 26 2/3 innings with 23 strikeouts and a 1.13 WHIP."
