Trey Flowers is arguably, with Dont'a Hightower out for the season, the most indispensable defensive player that the New England Patriots currently have. He is responsible for most of the team's pass-rush, and in only his second season, has room to grow into a superstar pass-rusher.

Flowers left Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins with an apparent rib injury, and many fans were terrified that they'd just lost their best defensive lineman in yet another major injury for the team. But according to Jeff Howe of The Boston Herald, there is good news. He reports that Flowers did not break any ribs against the Dolphins, and that the injury is considered week-to-week and is likely a matter of pain tolerance.
