"The Raiders reportedly have requested permission to speak with Green Bay Packers cornerbacks coach Joe Whitt Jr. about Oakland's defensive coordinator vacancy.

Whitt Jr., 33, has spent the past four years with the Packers and worked with new Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie during that time.

NFL.com says the Raiders have asked the Packers for permission to let coach Dennis Allen interview Whitt Jr. Allen is seeking a replacement for Chuck Bresnahan."
