No we’re getting somewhere, schedule-wise.

While the talks are said to be very preliminary, the Miami Herald‘s Barry Jackson writes that Miami “has been approached about opening the football season against Alabama in 2017 in Atlanta or LSU in 2018 in Arlington, Tex.” Jackson stresses that the Hurricanes would play just one of those games, not both.

The potential game against the Tide would be in 2017 and would serve as the first-ever college football game at the new stadium in Atlanta, which is set to open that season. The one against the Tigers would take place in 2018, likely at the home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.
