The Dallas Mavericks are signing swingman Scotty Hopson to a 10-day contract, according to Tim McMahon of ESPN.

After being listed as a five-star recruit out of high school and playing his collegiate basketball under Bruce Pearl at Tennessee, Hopson went undrafted in 2011. Most of his pro experience has come overseas, with his lone NBA action coming back in 2014 when he signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He only appeared in two games.

Months later, Hopson was shipped off with cash considerations to the Charlotte Hornets. One day later, he was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. Come two days later, he was once again a trade victim, this time being sent to the Houston Rockets. A few more months went by and he was traded to the Sacramento Kings and was waived one week later.
