Some were expecting Pittsburgh Penguins forward Matt Cooke to receive a call from the league following another controversial play, this time in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference final.

Cooke, who has a checkered past with plenty of supplemental discipline, was at the center of attention again in Game 1 against the Bruins. The Pittsburgh forward planted Adam McQuaid into the boards with a big hit early in the second period that left McQuaid laying on the ice. McQuaid, after heading to the dressing initially, returned to the ice shortly thereafter.

Cooke was assessed a five-minute major for checking from behind and was also given a game misconduct, ending his night. It looks like that’s all of the discipline he’ll get.
