But that could be changing, after Dwight Howard's agent was given permission by the Orlando Magic to speak with three teams about a potential trade for the All-State center. As most expected, the New Jersey Nets were on the list of approved teams, after Howard made it clear he's interested in joining the team in the future.

The second team was the Los Angeles Lakers, and rounding out the list was a surprising dark horse: the Dallas Mavericks. As SI.com NBA writer Sam Amick tweeted on Friday night, the Mavericks made the cut as a potential future home for Howard. Whether Mark Cuban does anything with the opportunity remains to be seen."
