Did the Broncos do an about-face on Emmanuel Sanders?

Despite recent speculation suggesting the veteran wide is being shopped around the league, and is "as good as gone" from the team, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Thursday that Denver is no longer interested in moving Sanders.

Rapoport says that although Sanders' $10.937 million cap number is a financial burden, his presence is key in attracting a "big-time" free-agent quarterback, such as Kirk Cousins or Case Keenum.

"This quarterback needs someone to throw to," Rapoport said. "It sounds like the Broncos want to keep both receivers in the fold."

That last sentence aligns with Rapoport's previous "belief" that Sanders and highly-paid partner-in-crime Demaryius Thomas, another player on the potential chopping block, will stick around in 2018.
