The Columbus Blue Jackets reportedly have signed free-agent forward Jack Skille to a contract. Multiple media reports say it's a one-year, two-way deal.

Skille, 26, had three goals and 12 points in 40 games with the Florida Panthers last season, his fifth in the NHL. He was the Chicago Blackhawks' first-round pick (No. 7) in the 2005 NHL Draft and made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks during the 2007-08 season. But Chicago traded him to Florida on Feb. 9, 2011, in a deal that sent Michael Frolik to the Blackhawks.
