"Former Seahawks safety Jordan Babineaux will sign a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans, Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean tweeted Thursday.

Wyatt reported that Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray was a big factor in Babineaux's decision. Gray was the Seahawks secondary coach last season. Babineaux, who spent seven seasons with the Seahawks, reportedly turned down better offers to reunite with Gray.

Babineaux earned the nickname "Big Play Babs" early in his career after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2004. He was released by the Seahawks after training camp before last season, but re-signed before the season began.

Babineaux, 28, joins longtime Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck in Tennessee."
