Reggie Wayne has little success due to healthy dose of cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha

"Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha said he felt as good as he has at any point since he sprained his right ankle Oct. 31.

Full health oftentimes isn't enough when it comes to covering Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl wide receiver Reggie Wayne. Then again, not everyone has Asomugha's ability to shut down an opposing receiver.

Wayne made just one catch against Asomugha for 14 yards Sunday, and that came on a play in which Asomugha was picked by another Colts receiver and had no chance at making a play.

Wayne had been averaging seven catches and 89 yards per game this season. He caught only three for 40 yards of the six passes thrown his way Sunday. Asomugha broke up three passes and was called for holding once.

In 13 games, Asomugha has allowed only 10 receptions for 156 yards and no touchdowns on 27 passes thrown his way.

As expected, Colts quarterback Peyton Manning looked elsewhere in the passing game more times than not. His touchdown passes went to wide receivers Pierre Garcon and Blair White and tight end Jacob Tamme.

"He's kind of the offensive coordinator on the field, so it's like he sees you on defense and he can call whatever he wants to call," Raiders free safety Michael Huff said of Manning. "So, it's tough.""
