Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne is on the fast track in his return from October surgery to repair a torn ACL.

Appearing on 1260 WNDE in Indianapolis, Wayne said Tuesday that he expects to be cleared for football activities on April 25.

That date would put Wayne back on the practice field six months after suffering the injury.

"I'm way ahead of schedule," Wayne added. "I feel great."

The 35-year-old fully expects to be ready for training camp in late July.

Andrew Luck's aerial attack has the potential to be one of the NFL's best this season, with Wayne and tight end Dwayne Allen returning from injuries and Hakeem Nicks shooting for a bounceback season.
