Bush and the other players Miami signed — LB Kevin Burnett, DT Ronald Fields, OT Marc Colombo — are being forced to sit out until Thursday per the NFL's post-lockout timeline for veterans who sign new contracts.

Bush said he'd like a chance to be the Dolphins' featured back.

Burnett, meanwhile, is likely to fill the spot in the starting linebacker corps previously occupied by Channing Crowder, whom the team released last week."
