The Oilers defeated the Wings 2-1 in the shoot-out, which went six rounds.
Todd Bertuzzi scored the lone shoot-out goal for the Wings, after scoring twice in the third period.
Sam Gagner and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored for Edmonton in the shoot-out.
"It didn't look good in the first period, so we'll take the one point," said Todd Bertuzzi, who scored two third-period goals to spark a Wings rally."
