REAL MADRID feel they will sign David De Gea from Manchester United next summer, according to reports.

Real Madrid nearly signed De Gea from Manchester United in the summer of 2015, only for a faulty fax machine to scupper the deal.

Yet despite missing out on the 26-year-old then, Real have retained an interest in the United star and want him to be their No1 for many years to come.

Talk was rife they would attempt to sign him this summer, but Manchester United look to have held on to De Gea for at least another 12 months.

But Spanish outlet Diario Gol says Real feel they will finally land their chief target at the end of the current campaign.
