The Oakland Raiders' attempt to reload after dumping a whole lot of salary and headaches continues Wednesday when the team hosts free-agent running back Bernard Scott, a person informed of the visit told USA TODAY Sports.

The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the team hasn't announced the visit, said Scott will go through drills to reveal how his recovery from a torn ACL suffered last year has progressed. The person said Scott is also scheduled to visit the Cincinnati Bengals later this week.

Scott has been a Bengal since the team drafted him in the sixth round in 2009. He had a career-high 380 yards and three touchdowns in 2011 but suffered his knee injury in Week 2 last season after only eight carries.
