"The Indianapolis Colts have settled on Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano as their next head coach, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Pagano, 51, was the Ravens defensive coordinator in 2011 after serving as defensive backs coach the previous three seasons. This will be his first head coaching position at any level. He replaces Jim Caldwell, who was fired Jan. 17.
Pagano emerged from a long list of prospects that included New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr., Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray, former Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel, Montreal Alouettes coach Marc Trestman and San Francisco 49ers special teams coach Brad Seely."
