The two teams with the most home runs in the majors came together Monday on a steamy, jet-streamy night in the Bronx. The result was an old-fashioned pitchers' duel — right up until Raul Ibanez won it, that is, in fittingly grand fashion.

Each side went deep once en route to a low-scoring tie through seven innings, until Ibanez broke the knot with his 10th career grand slam in the eighth for a 6-3 Yankees victory at the Stadium.

Ibanez, who has manned left field far more than he or the Yanks expected due to Brett Gardner's ongoing elbow absence, has belted eight of his 12 home runs this season in the sixth inning or later. Five of them have given the Yankees a lead.
