The lockout is almost "officially" over with the ratification of the new CBA by the NHLPA expected sometime this morning.



Once the union signs the MOU -- memorandum of understanding -- this will allow training camps to open on Sunday and for the league to release the schedule today.



It also will allow teams to trade and sign free agents.



In the Flyers case, a league source said the club may sign veteran defenseman Kurtis Foster, a 31-year-old free agent from Minnesota, who also played in Anaheim and New Jersey last season.
