Rangers right-hander Yu Darvish continued a recent schedule change and went through a second bullpen session in advance of a start at Kansas City on Monday.

For most of the season, Darvish had one bullpen session between starts. He recently has begun getting on a mound twice between starts: a light session to maintain feel for the off-speed pitches followed by a regular workout of about 35 pitches.

"There's no particular reason for it," said Darvish, speaking through an interpreter. "If there's a chance to get on a mound and throw, I like to do that."
