The right-hander threw 62 pitches and was pleased with the movement on his sinker and his command, even though he plunked Esteban German and Jose Felix.

Any lingering issues, he said, can be worked out in a game situation. He's been able to gain more of a feel for his pitches and mechanics, and is able to identify problems on the mound.
