Rangers' Webb expects to be nervous in Frisco start

"It may seem unusual for a Cy Young Award winner to get butterflies heading into a start against Double A competition. But that's exactly what Brandon Webb expects to feel heading into his medical rehabilitation start with Frisco today.

Webb, the 2006 National League Cy Young Award winner who hasn't pitched in two years because of shoulder surgery, will throw between 60-75 pitches against Tulsa at 4 p.m. in Frisco. He pitched six innings Tuesday in extended spring training.

"I'm going to be nervous for sure," Webb said. "Even out in Arizona I was a little nervous. I haven't been out there in so long against competition it was like, 'What is going to happen?'"

His velocity is down 4 mph from the 88 mph he hit consistently when he was healthy, but Webb said that should change."
