Second baseman Ian Kinsler began what the clubs expects to be a two-day paternity leave after the birth of his second child and first son: Jack Jamisson Kinsler.
The Rangers replaced Kinsler by adding infielder Chris Davis from Triple-A Round Rock. For Davis and the Rangers, it was fortunate timing.
The move got Davis into the lineup against a favorite pitcher: left-hander Phil Coke. Davis had two hits and scored a run in three at-bats against Coke and is 4-for-8 with two homers lifetime against him.
