Ryan Callahan, the personification of the Black-and-Blueshirt mentality that identified the 2010-11 Rangers, was named the Rangers' 26th captain Monday morning by coach John Tortorella.

Marc Staal and Brad Richards will be the alternate captains for the Rangers, who open training camp on Friday.
